Art is a high-trust purchase. These protections are designed so you can transact with galleries you've just met as safely as ones you've known for years.

Your protection, end to end

  1. Pay securely

    Checkout through Meridian's — your card details never reach the seller.

  2. Seller ships

    The work is dispatched, with the carrier and tracking added to your order.

  3. Inspect on arrival

    5 days to confirm delivery — or report a problem, which pauses completion.

  4. Sale completes

    You confirm — or it completes 10 days after shipping if nothing is reported.

An open problem report pauses completion until it’s resolved — the seller and Meridian’s support are notified the moment you raise one.

Secure payment

When you pay through Meridian’s checkout, your card details never reach the seller — payment is processed by our payment gateway and the proceeds for the work are forwarded to the seller, less the platform commission. Shipping is settled separately with the seller. The exact figures appear on your order receipt before and after checkout.

Dispute resolution

If a work arrives materially not as described — wrong dimensions, undisclosed condition issues, or authenticity concerns supported by a qualified specialist — raise it with us before confirming delivery. Open a dispute from Your orders or contact andrew.kassatly@meridians.art. We’ll review the evidence from both sides and, where the claim is upheld, work with the seller to refund or replace.

Shipping & handling

Meridian’s facilitates the sale of the work — shipping is arranged, quoted and billed directly by the seller. Galleries and artists choose the courier, arrange packing and insurance, and provide tracking; their stated method appears on each listing. The price you pay Meridian’s is for the work only, so agree shipping cost and timing with the seller before you buy. For works of significant value we strongly recommend a specialist fine-art courier with full transit insurance and museum-grade packing — and retain all packaging until you’ve inspected the work.

What we don't cover

Meridian’s presents cataloguing, provenance and condition as supplied by the seller and does not itself authenticate works or provide valuations. Buyer protection covers the transaction — it is not a guarantee of attribution. For attribution and value, commission an independent specialist or the relevant catalogue raisonné / authentication body. Private-sale and off-platform arrangements are outside this protection.
